The Ophion Shuriken has been developed to complement the Ophion range of premium whitewater paddle blades. It is based on the Katana Ophion, which has the additional blade with core in FOAM. The result is a stable, responsive and lightweight paddle that performs in any situation. The core has a composite reinforcing mesh inside the foam to increase its sturdiness. Traditionally and against the expectation, the foam core doesn't add any force to the blade, it's purely there for a manufacturing process of molding the shape of the core. Therefore, by adding the composite mesh, we now have a core with more structure and greater resistance
