Refund Policy

Returns, Withdrawals and Refunds

All purchases made on bosskayak.eu are covered by the right of withdrawal in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Italian Legislative Decree 21/2014 (arts. 52–59 of the Italian Consumer Code).

1. Right of Withdrawal — 14 Days

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, without providing any reason and without penalty.

The period begins on the day after delivery. If the 14th day falls on a public holiday or weekend, the deadline extends to the next working day.

Example: delivery on Monday 1 July → deadline: Monday 15 July (inclusive).

If BossKayak has not provided information on the right of withdrawal, the period is automatically extended to 12 months (art. 53 para. 2, Consumer Code).

2. Products Excluded from Withdrawal by Law

Pursuant to art. 59 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Goods made to measure or clearly personalised
  • Goods likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery
  • Digital content where downloading has already begun
  • Newspapers, periodicals or magazines

3. Products Excluded from Return and Exchange — BossKayak

BossKayak does not accept returns or exchanges on the following items, as clearly stated on the product page and accepted by the customer at the time of purchase:

  • Sale or discounted products
  • End-of-line items (Last Chance)
  • Special orders and custom products
  • Used kayaks
  • Equipment that has been used or modified from its original factory specification

Sale / end-of-line product — not eligible for exchange or return. Purchased with full awareness.

This exclusion does not apply to defective or misdescribed products, for which statutory warranty rights remain fully valid.

4. Return Conditions

  • The product must be intact, unused and free of any damage attributable to the customer.
  • It must be returned in its original packaging, complete with all accessories, labels and documentation.
  • BossKayak reserves the right to inspect the goods upon receipt to verify their condition. If a product is found to be damaged, used or incomplete, BossKayak reserves the right to reduce the refund in proportion to the loss in value of the goods, pursuant to art. 57 para. 2 of the Consumer Code.
  • BossKayak may withhold the refund until the goods have been received or until the customer has provided proof of shipment.

5. Return Costs — Payable by the Consumer

Pursuant to art. 57 of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the cost of returning goods is entirely the responsibility of the consumer. BossKayak's return fees cover: return shipping, logistics handling and an administrative fee applied to refunds processed via credit card or other electronic payment methods.

Accessories and clothing: Italy € 35.00 — Europe € 55.00

Paddles: Italy € 150.00 — Europe € 250.00

Kayaks up to 350 cm: Italy € 290.00 — Europe: on request, entirely at the customer's expense

For returns of kayaks to European destinations, please contact info@bosskayak.eu for a quote before initiating the return.

The fees above do not apply to defective or misdescribed products, for which return costs are borne by BossKayak.

6. Refunds

Once the return has been received and the goods have been inspected, BossKayak will process the refund within 7–10 working days. The credit will be applied to the original payment method used for the purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been completed.

  • Refunds are issued to the same payment method used for the original purchase.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Return handling fees are deducted from the refunded amount.
  • If the product is returned damaged or incomplete, the refund may be partial.

7. Exchanges

BossKayak does not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item (size, colour, model), please follow these steps:

  1. Return the product within 14 days following the standard withdrawal procedure.
  2. Once the return is received and approved, you will be refunded to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.
  3. Place a new separate order for the replacement item.

You can place the new order at any time without waiting for the return to be completed — these are two independent transactions.

8. Product Warranty

All products sold on bosskayak.eu are covered by the statutory 2-year conformity warranty pursuant to arts. 128–135 of the Italian Consumer Code.

BossKayak carries products from many different brands, each with their own additional commercial warranty policies. Some manufacturers handle warranty claims directly; others do so through BossKayak. In all cases, BossKayak is here to assist you with any claim on products purchased through bosskayak.eu.

Always keep your purchase receipt and order confirmation email as proof of purchase.

To open a warranty claim, contact info@bosskayak.eu stating your order number, a description of the defect and photos of the issue.

The statutory warranty covers conformity defects present at the time of delivery. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, or unauthorised modifications.

9. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
